We were invited to participate in the “National Pet Adoption Weekend” at Pet Valu. We will be at the Albany location (127 Street & 167 Avenue) on Saturday, April 20 from 12-4pm.
We’ll be doing things a little differently for the next flight. In order to participate, we will need to have adoptable pups at the event. Considering how supportive you have all been, the past flights saw most of those dogs go immediately to successful trial visits. This is fantastic for the dogs, however it wouldn’t be much of an adoption event if we had no adoptable dogs with us that day.
While the dogs will be coming up on Friday, April 12, we will not be posting their profiles on adoptapet.com until the evening of Wednesday, April 17. Mark your calendars so you can see the adoptable dogs on the site and have a pup (or two?) in mind that you would like to meet in person at Pet Valu.
In the past, we haven’t been able to have the public meet the dogs first before submitting an application, but this time is different! We will be taking applications on site and then reviewing them after the event. All applicants will receive a phone call to let them know if they are the successful family (or not). Unfortunately we cannot let the pups go straight from the adoption event as we are anticipating multiple applicants and as always:
We operate on best fit rather than first come, first served
Even if you aren’t planning to adopt a pooch in the near future, please come out to say hi! We’ll have a free dog wash, cookie bake sale (for dogs AND people) and of course meeting the latest bunch of adorable rescues!
